The plugin provides very decent results while being easy to use and very light on CPU consumption. But, if you need something to quickly clean up a recorded or live piece of audio, Bertom Denoiser is worth looking into. So, who is this plugin for? If you don’t need a super-advanced noise production tool, look elsewhere. Don’t push it too hard as this may introduce clearly audible noise reduction artifacts. One thing to keep in mind when using Denoiser is that it works best for moderate noise reduction.
It operates similar to a dynamic equalizer, in the sense that there is no apparent phase shift when there is no noise reduction. Red Giant had originally licensed the Denoiser code from another company, which was acquired by Google in 2011, so they rebuilt it from the ground-up and made it more robust and stable across the board. Simply go to the Effects & Presetspanel and select ‘Remove Grain.’ Drag and drop this effect onto your clip. After Effects should queue up and present you with a new comp that contains your video.
